FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything researchers need to know about ordering, storage, reconstitution, and our quality guarantee.

📦 Ordering & Shipping

What is the minimum order? +
There is no minimum order requirement. You can order a single vial of any compound. Volume discounts apply automatically at checkout for orders of $300+ (5%) and $500+ (10%).
How fast do orders ship? +
Orders placed before 2:00 PM Eastern Time on business days ship same day. Orders placed after cutoff or on weekends/holidays ship the next business day. You receive tracking information by email immediately upon shipment. Domestic delivery typically takes 2–5 business days depending on your location.
Do you offer free shipping? +
Yes. Free standard shipping (USPS First Class or Priority) is included on all orders over $150 within the contiguous United States. Expedited shipping (FedEx/UPS 2-day or overnight) is available at checkout for an additional fee. Cold-pack shipping for temperature-sensitive orders is available on request.
Do you ship internationally? +
Currently, we ship to the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. We are working on international shipping options. Please contact us if you have a specific international research institution inquiry — we may be able to accommodate institutional orders from select countries.
What payment methods do you accept? +
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), as well as bank/ACH transfer for institutional orders. All transactions are secured with 256-bit SSL encryption. We do not store credit card information on our servers.

🔬 Quality & Testing

How do you verify peptide purity? +
Every batch is tested by independent, accredited third-party analytical laboratories using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography coupled with Mass Spectrometry (HPLC-MS). This dual methodology confirms both molecular identity and quantitative purity. We require a minimum of 98% purity; most batches achieve ≥99%. We do not accept or sell self-reported purity data.
What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)? +
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a formal quality document issued by an accredited analytical laboratory that records the results of testing for a specific batch of compound. It includes the compound’s CAS number, molecular formula, batch/lot number, test methods used, purity result, identity confirmation, and the issuing laboratory’s accreditation information. Our COAs are batch-specific — each vial is traceable to its own unique COA. COAs are included digitally with every order.
Are your peptides suitable for in vivo research? +
Our research peptides are supplied as lyophilized powder in research-grade vials. They are intended for in vitro laboratory studies. If your research protocol requires in vivo use in approved animal research studies, the suitability depends on your specific protocol, your institution’s IACUC approval, and applicable regulations. We do not make any claims about specific applications — that determination is the researcher’s responsibility under their institutional oversight.
What is the shelf life of lyophilized peptides? +
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides are significantly more stable than dissolved peptides. Properly stored at -20°C or below in a sealed container away from light and moisture, most lyophilized peptides maintain ≥95% purity for 24–36 months or longer. At 4°C (refrigerator), typical stability is 6–12 months. At room temperature, short-term storage of 1–4 weeks is generally acceptable. Always store desiccated to prevent moisture uptake. Once reconstituted, stability decreases significantly — reconstituted solutions should be aliquoted and stored at -80°C.

❄️ Storage & Reconstitution

How should I store research peptides? +
Lyophilized (dry powder, unopened): Store at -20°C in the original sealed vial. Keep away from moisture, light, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Use a desiccant.

After reconstitution: Aliquot into smaller volumes to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Store at -80°C for long-term, -20°C for up to 1–2 weeks, or 4°C for immediate use within 5–7 days. Most peptides reconstituted in sterile water or acetic acid solution are stable for several weeks at -20°C when aliquoted properly.
How do I reconstitute a lyophilized peptide? +
General protocol for laboratory reconstitution:
  1. Allow the vial to equilibrate to room temperature for 30 minutes before opening (prevents condensation).
  2. Add your chosen reconstitution solvent slowly and gently to the inside wall of the vial — do not inject directly onto the lyophilized cake.
  3. Gently swirl (do not vortex) until completely dissolved.
  4. If the peptide does not dissolve fully in water, try 0.1% acetic acid, DMSO, or sterile saline as an alternative solvent (compound-specific).
  5. Aliquot into single-use volumes and store appropriately.

Refer to the product-specific COA and any published literature for compound-specific reconstitution guidance. Always follow your institution’s laboratory protocols.
What solvent should I use to reconstitute peptides? +
The optimal reconstitution solvent varies by peptide sequence and amino acid composition. Common options include: Sterile Water (for most hydrophilic peptides), 0.1% Acetic Acid (for basic/positively-charged peptides), PBS pH 7.4 (for neutral peptides needing physiological conditions), and DMSO (for hydrophobic peptides, typically ≤10% final concentration). Always refer to the compound’s published literature or technical data sheet. When in doubt, start with 0.1% acetic acid as a universal first attempt for most research peptides.

⚖️ Regulatory & Compliance

Are research peptides legal to purchase in the USA? +
The regulatory status of research peptides in the United States is nuanced. Many research peptides are not scheduled controlled substances and can be legally purchased for legitimate scientific research purposes. However, FDA regulations, the FD&C Act, and DEA scheduling may affect specific compounds. It is your responsibility as a researcher to verify the current regulatory status of any compound in your jurisdiction before ordering. We sell only to qualified researchers for laboratory research purposes and do not sell for human consumption under any circumstances. We recommend consulting your institution’s regulatory affairs office before purchasing.
Can I use these peptides for personal health or bodybuilding purposes? +
Absolutely not. Our products are sold exclusively as research chemicals for in vitro laboratory study. They are not approved by the FDA, EMA, or any other regulatory body for human administration. Using research chemicals outside of a professional laboratory setting is illegal, unsafe, and violates our Terms of Sale. By purchasing, you certify that you are a qualified researcher and that these compounds will be used only in a supervised laboratory environment for legitimate scientific research.
What is your return and refund policy? +
Due to the nature of research chemicals and the critical importance of cold-chain integrity, we cannot accept returns of opened products. However, if you receive a damaged shipment, an incorrect product, or a product that does not meet the purity specifications on the COA, contact us within 5 business days of delivery with documentation (photos, COA comparison). We will replace the item or issue a full refund at our discretion. Damaged-in-transit claims must be filed within 48 hours of delivery.
